The Jersey Chamber Weekly Update
Dear Subscriber,
48 hours in a busy, exciting and historic week.
Chamber announced it is moving back to its spiritual and historical home, having once again become the owners of 19 Royal Square on Friday. It was a long held personal goal to see us back in the place where we were founded in 1768. It's an exciting space and we'll be relocating in the coming months after nearly a year in the planning.
We had a productive meeting with the Government of Kenya, which gave clarity on some positive work streams going forward for Chamber and the Government of Kenya.
The Two Chief Ministers - Lyndon and Lyndon were centre stage at the Chamber lunch on Wednesday, as positive collaboration between our sometimes fractious spats was the key topic. 250 guests enjoyed a superb lunch at the Radisson and some interesting pan-island dialogue. Talking of which, the Minister for Sustainable Economic Development will be our speaker in September, which will know doubt be interesting.
The Chamber AGM followed this lunch and as the successful past year of Chamber was reported, a new President and VP were elected. Huge gratitude to Adam Budworth for three years as President and his Vice-President Daphne East for the incredible support and leadership they gave to Chamber. Congratulations to Lee Madden as our new President and welcome back to past-President Eliot Lincoln who will support as VP.
After all that, a valued meeting with Mathieu Girardin
Executive Vice President, Ferry Division of DFDS along with Filip Hermann VP of the Baltics & Channel Islands happened.

And then…it was Thursday when Blue Islands began its flights to Paris. Chamber went back to a stack of engagement with Government, Scrutiny retailers, hoteliers, health care sectors, local media, and the international media.
The weekend beckons and from the team below who make it so... Enjoy.
