The Jersey Chamber Weekly Update
Dear Subscriber,
As we look ahead, beyond the Easter break however you choose to spend it, May will bring many highlights including the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day and the clutch of non-working days for most of us to celebrate and enjoy.
Prior and past these momentous times Chamber continues with our series of Lunch events.
The April 30th lunch will see the CEO of the Jersey Development Company give more detail into the Fort Regent and Waterfront developments. It's sold out, but there is a waiting list for any returns.
Then in May is a tale of two Chief Ministers, with the Jersey and Guernsey CM's sharing their thoughts on our islands collectively. This too was sold out, but we have released a few extra tickets. Be quick or call the office to be on the waiting list.
All of this selling out is likely to continue as we move into the summer lunches.
And this is something special too. The Chamber Summer Lunch, sponsored by Sure, is in the marquee on the lawns of Government House, hosted by His Excellency.
We’ve pulled out all the stops – well from the bubbly bottles for arrival drinks - and then a delicious main course followed by desserts and cheeses with wine on the table throughout.
This relaxed affair is the perfect summer outing for the team or those clients you promised to grab lunch with. We've also chartered buses from Liberation Station to Government House and back for those not wanting to use the car parking facilities. Not surprisingly, word got out quickly when we launched it to our Chamber booking site, and the first 130 of 200 tickets went straightaway. To get your table sorted, act quick and reserve using the link in the event details below. You are welcome to book individually too.
The second of the lunches this summer on Tuesday July 15th will be as topical then as it is now, with the CEO of Jersey Finance, Joe Moynihan as our speaker, unpacking the crucial role of our finance sector in these economically turbulence times. I would suggest another must attend event!
Cannot wait until we can release the autumn lunches, but for now, please do have the most enjoyable and restful of times over the Easter break.
Have a great long weekend.
Murray,
