Let It Be Your Year: Business Inspiration from The Beatles
As we step into a new year, we at the Jersey Chamber of Commerce want to share a business pep talk for our journey into 2025. With 'Blue Monday' due next week, I've leaned into International Beatles Day (which is today). So maybe a sprinkling of Fab Four tunes to "Get Back" on track or soar to new heights. Here we go pop-pickers!
"All You Need Is Love"(and a Strategy)
In the ever-changing business world, a little love and care for your customers and team go a long way. But as you embrace compassion, let's not forget a well-thought-out strategy. "Think for Yourself," and ensure you're meeting the needs of those who matter most.
"Here Comes the Sun": Bright Opportunities Await
Even if "Yesterday" was full of rose-tinted memories of the Jersey hey-day, today is a fresh start. We must seek new opportunities to grow and innovate. Personally, the only way is digital, but we must explore new markets and try not to "Work Eight Days a Week".
"With a Little Help from My Friends"
Running a business can feel at little "Sgt Pepper's Lonely..." at times but remember we're here for you! Lean on the huge Chamber network. We "Come Together" with other sector specific organisations in Jersey to share ideas, resources, and intel. You say "Help!" we say "I Want To Hold your Hand". You are not alone - oh wait... that's for the Michael Jackson day!
"We Can Work It Out"
All business faces obstacles, but if we could get a few less from Govt, that would be a "Something". Resilience is certainly key. "Don't Let Me Down" moments happen "Here, There and Everywhere", but they also offer valuable lessons and often craft creative solutions.
"Let It Be" and Embrace Change
Change is inevitable, so you might as well embrace it. "Now and Then" shifts happen (that was the clean version!). Remember sometimes, the best solution is to "Let It Be."
"Get Back" to What Matters
I often wonder why people start and run businesses. Frankly, it's not easy and is risky. What inspired you to start your business? Maybe we should all "Get Back" to what truly drives us.
It's a "Long and Winding Road" but as the Beatles said, "It's Getting Better All the Time" — and let's hope 2025 will be that for Jersey PLC.
The Jersey Chamber of Commerce is putting in some hard yards behind the scenes, not quite "Across The Universe", more like across the sectors. Hopefully more ferry news to come in the week ahead and maybe we'll have "Ticket to Ride" rather than a "Yellow Submarine" Ignore Blue Monday and just keep saying "I Feel Fine".
